There is metered street parking all along Broad Street, and there is also a municipal parking lot off Pitt Street behind Town Pub. No. Our drop-in price is $30. However, we do offer a New Client Special that gives you unlimited classes for 21-Days for only $59. We believe you should have the chance to take as many different classes as you can before you decide what package or membership works best for you.
Doors will open 15 minutes before your scheduled class. We do ask that you give yourself time to find parking and get situated in the studio so that class can start on time. While we can accommodate walk-ins, reserving your spot in advance is a great way to commit to coming to class. Plus, it allows our instructors to properly prepare the space. Virtual classes require pre-registering to receive the class link in time for class. Note: Workshops can sell out so please register to guarantee your spot. All registrations can be done through the FitDegree app or on our website here.
Please bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water. If you don’t own a yoga mat, we do have mats on hand to borrow. We will provide any blocks, blankets, or bolsters you will need for the class. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Typically, yoga classes are done barefoot. If you are registered for one of our fitness classes and prefer to wear sneakers, we ask that you bring a clean pair to change into.
Look at the online schedule and decide what class time and type will fit best. Our classes are meant to accommodate yogis of various levels. Our instructors are trained to give modifications to new clients as well as additional challenges to more seasoned practitioners. However, we suggest starting with Absolute Beginner, Gentle Vinyasa, or Yin Yoga if you are brand new. Our New Client Special provides the perfect opportunity for new clients to try several different classes.
The instructor will help instruct you with what props you may need before class begins and take a minute to use the restroom if needed so that you can relax into your space for the entirety of class. We ask that you leave your cell phone in the cubbies (door will be locked) and do your best to remain present during class. If you have any concerns or injuries, please take a moment to discuss with your instructor before class so they are aware of any modifications they may need to make for you.
Enjoy your class and reach out to us any time with questions!

We believe that a parent has a better sense as to the maturity level of their child than we do! If yoga is something that your child would like to do and you know they can handle a one-hour class without being distracted, and are 13 or older, they are welcome to join. We do require an adult to be present with any child 13-17 for the duration of the class. We have student packages available. 18 and over can attend any class. For any exceptions, please reach out to info@irisyoganj.com.
Congratulations and yes! When you are pregnant, there are modifications that must be made in a normal yoga class. Most of our teachers are certified to teach pre-natal classes and/or trained in the proper modifications to give to an expectant mother. Please let your teacher know prior to the start of class so they can offer you the necessary adjustments. We can also offer private, pre-natal classes to either help ease you into a regular class or continue your practice if you no longer feel comfortable in a regular class.
