Are you brand new to yoga, out of practice over the past couple years, OR maybe you are simply ready to reestablish your foundation? In this workshop, Aneesa will be breaking down the main components of some of the primary poses from a functional yoga mindset. This will teach you beyond the traditional alignment of a pose and rather teach you how your body should FEEL in pose.
Aneesa will open up with a simple pranayama practice to establish the importance of connecting your breath to your movement. Each pose will be heavily instructed and questions are encouraged. You will learn how the use of props can deepen your practice how to safely enter into a shape.
Come prepared to have fun, move, and learn a little something about yourself and your practice. Bring your mat if you have one, we have plenty if you don’t. Wear comfortable clothing. This workshop is geared for the new yogi, but is open to all. Even the most advanced practitioner remains a student for life.
