Humans sleep for ⅓ of their life. This can have a huge impact on the other ⅔ of our lives. If you are chronically sleep deprived, whether it’s because of a disorder or a demanding lifestyle, your life is affected. Sleep deprivation affects your mood, alertness, hand-eye coordination, and short term memory. According to the CDC, sleep deprivation is linked to chronic disorders and diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and depression.
In this workshop, Cory will begin with a gentle flow to unwind the body, pranayama to move into a more relaxed state, followed by Yoga Nidra, to send your mind to a place of rest. You will be given the tools to create a night time routine that resonates with you, so you will have a more restful sleep.
Please wear clothes that you are comfortable moving in. If you tend to get cold easily, please bring a sweater/sweatshirt and socks for your Yoga Nidra practice.
